Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili and Head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia Maia Omiadze summed up the results of activities for the first three quarters of 2023, ongoing and upcoming projects at the meeting with representatives of tourism and aviation sectors.
Mariam Kvrivishvili stressed the significance of infrastructure development in the mountainous resorts, having highlighted Georgia was preparing to host the 2024 FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup for the first time in Gudauri in February 2024.
Maia Omiadze noted Georgia would host the 2024 World Tourism Day, adding the Tourism National Administration would partake in 21 tourism fairs next year.
As Maia Omiadze said, various marketing campaigns would also include the visits of international journalists and bloggers with the purpose of popularizing Georgia’s tourist destinations abroad and a large-scale M&I Forum in Tbilisi.
