The Ministry of Defence has announced that Georgia will once again host the Agile Spirit multinational military exercise, now in its twelfth iteration. Agile Spirit 2025 is scheduled to take place from July 25 to August 6, with the goal of strengthening operational capabilities and enhancing interoperability among allied and partner forces.
This year’s drills will be conducted in both Georgia and Turkiye, beginning in Turkiye’s Adana Province on July 21. In Georgia, exercises will be held at the Krtsanisi, Vaziani, and Norio military bases.
Jointly led by the Western Command of the Georgian Defence Forces and the U.S. Georgia State National Guard, the exercise will bring together troops from Turkiye, Poland, Germany, Italy, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Lithuania, and Ukraine. Armenia and Japan will participate as observers.
The training will include the deployment of multifunctional military vehicles and helicopters, including the UH-60 Black Hawk and AS332 Super Puma.
First launched in 2011, Agile Spirit has evolved into a significant annual event involving the U.S. Marine Forces Europe and the Georgian military, underlining Georgia’s strategic role in regional security cooperation.
