
In 2025, Georgia assumed the rotating Presidency of the Energy Community during the 22nd Energy Community Ministerial Council Meeting held in Austria, as reported by the Ministry of Economy. According to the Ministry, Georgia is committed to actively contributing to the planning and execution of the events outlined in the agenda.
The Ministerial Council meeting in Austria primarily addressed key issues, including the advancement of renewable energy initiatives within the Community countries, the implementation of energy efficiency measures, the pursuit of decarbonization objectives, and the formulation of new regulatory frameworks.
Georgia has been a member of the Energy Community since 2017.
