“We are ready to deepen our parliamentary engagement with Italy and Luxembourg, and the next visits and meetings have already been planned,” stated Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the Georgian Parliament’s European Integration Committee.
Speaking to journalists in Hungary, Makhashvili highlighted the key topics addressed during recent bilateral meetings: “We discussed developments in Georgia, our roadmap with the European Union, and regional dynamics, including our relations with Russia. Our counterparts showed a strong interest in the current state of Georgia-EU relations—why we are at this stage, the solutions we propose, and how they can help reset and strengthen those ties.”
He added, “They expressed full readiness to support the Georgian Parliament across various areas to advance our European integration efforts.”
