
Georgia, strategically located between Europe and Asia, aims to boost its energy transit capacity and strengthen regional partnerships, announced Inga Pkhaladze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, at the Black Sea Region Transmission System Operators Forum.
Highlighting the Black Sea Submarine Cable project, she emphasized the importance of regional cooperation for energy security, renewable integration, and grid reliability. Georgia’s green energy sector remains central to its economy and national security, with ongoing efforts to improve investment conditions and infrastructure stability.
The forum, organized by the Georgian Government and State Electrosystem, gathered international transmission operators and energy experts to discuss collaborative advancements in the region.
