According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in January-August 2023, 1.83 tons of unprocessed or semi-processed or gold powder were exported to three countries, the leader of which is Switzerland, accounting for 88% of the ore export.
Georgia's top trading partners by gold exports are as follows:
Switzerland - 1.66 tons, $50.66 million,
Turkey - 0.12 tons, $4.81 million,
The United Arab Emirates - 0.05 tons, $2.23 million.
It should be noted that the highest gold export rate was registered in 2010, when Georgia exported 7.19 tons of gold worth $117.65 million.
