The Georgian National Tourism Administration participated in the SITF 2025 international tourism exhibition in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, aiming to promote Georgia as an attractive travel destination.
As part of the event, a special reception titled "Emotions Are Georgia" was organized for local media representatives. Hosted by the Embassy of Georgia in the Republic of Korea, the reception introduced attendees to Georgia’s diverse tourism offerings. The National Tourism Administration delivered a detailed presentation highlighting the country's natural beauty, cultural heritage, and unique travel experiences.
“Georgia is truly unique in terms of nature, but most importantly, the people are warm and kind. In that respect, Georgians are similar to Koreans,” said Yang Hae-yong, a producer at EBS TV. “Koreans value people and nature when traveling. They love hiking and exploring the mountains. I believe more promotional efforts about Georgia should be made in Korea.”
Hanife, a representative of Korea Guide Tour, also shared her experience: “I bring Korean tourists to Georgia. They love the nature and especially enjoy Georgian cuisine and wine. I’m personally fond of wine made in qvevri—its flavor is very distinct compared to European wine. Many of my clients want to extend their stays in Georgia.”
The participation at SITF 2025 and the promotional efforts in Seoul are part of a broader strategy by the Georgian National Tourism Administration to attract more travelers from the Asian market, particularly from South Korea.
