
Minister of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia David Songulashvili met with Paolo Carissimo, President of Italian agro-company RK Growers, and Nikoloz Didebashvili, Founder of Georgian agro-consulting firm Niadagi, to discuss expanding agricultural cooperation and investment opportunities.
During the meeting, the sides reviewed prospects for increasing investment in Georgia’s agricultural sector and discussed key issues related to international trade. Songulashvili highlighted Georgia’s favorable investment climate and outlined state support programs designed to boost agricultural development.
He also underscored the strategic value of Georgia’s Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) with the European Union, noting that it enhances access to European markets, supports export growth, and deepens economic integration.
The discussion focused on expanding exports of Georgian agricultural goods—including nuts, blueberries, olives, olive oil, juices, and wine—to international markets.
