Georgia has officially chosen Panopticon, directed by Giorgi Sikharulidze, as its entry for the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards in 2026.

According to the Georgian National Cinematography Center, the selection was made on September 16 through a secret ballot by a six-member expert commission. The film was selected over Terzo Mondo by Merab Kokochashvili, the only other contender submitted by production companies for this year's competition.
