
According to the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), remittance inflows reached USD 317.8 million (GEL 860.2 million) in September 2025, marking a 12.1% increase (USD 34.4 million) compared to the same period last year.
In total, USD 2.69 billion has been transferred into Georgia during the first nine months of 2025.
The European Union remains the largest source of remittances, contributing 45.4% (USD 144.3 million) of the total, with Italy, Germany, and Greece leading the way. EU-sourced transfers rose 11.7% year-on-year.
Remittances from the United States also showed strong growth, increasing 21.7% year-on-year to USD 59.7 million in September.
Additionally, USD 38.2 million (GEL 103.5 million) was sent to Georgia from various countries, representing a 12.7% increase compared to USD 33.9 million in September 2024.
