Bakuriani will host a World Cup stage in the mogul discipline from December 20-21, under the auspices of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).
The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development has announced that 91 athletes from 19 countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, will participate in the competition.
The event will be held on Mount Kokhta, which is recognized by the International Ski Federation for having the longest mogul track in the world. Eurosport will provide live coverage of the event.
The competition is supported by the Government of Georgia and organized by the Mountain Trails Agency (MTA) and the Georgian Ski Federation, with FIS representatives overseeing the event's organization.
Following Bakuriani's successful hosting of the 2023 World Championships, the Georgian resorts of Gudauri and Bakuriani will now host World Cup stages annually. Gudauri is scheduled to continue the World Cup series in February and March 2025 with events in ski cross and snowboard cross.
