
The National Tourism Administration of Georgia has published the statistical data of revenues gained from the tourism sector for the month of September. In September, revenues from international travel exceeded the 2019 figures for the third time since the pandemic. In September, the revenues totaled $375,615,194, which exceeds the similar indicator of 2019 by 17.9% ($56,982,269).
Compared to September 2021, travel revenues have increased by $213,752,443 (132.1%).
As a result of the increase in tourist flows, during January-September 2022, Georgia received $2.5 billion in revenue from international travel (tourism), which is a recovery of 97.5% of the 2019 figure.
Compared to January-September 2021, revenues received from tourism have increased by $1 651 528 684 (+190.8%).
