“On May 15-16, the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia is hosting the 10th Annual Conference of Competent Agencies of the Global Forum on Transparency and Information Exchange (Global Forum) of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) at the Biltmore Tbilisi Hotel. This conference is dedicated to the discussion of the standards of exchange of tax information between tax administrations. In addition, in an open discussion format, participants will share their opinions and successful experiences with each other. The information is distributed by the Revenue Service. The conference was opened and participants were welcomed by Levan Kakava, the head of the Revenue Service, and Zaida Manata, the head of the Secretariat of the Global Forum. The head of the Revenue Service focused on the importance of information exchange and spoke about the need for cooperation between the member states.
The meeting is being attended by high officials of 81 member countries of the Global Forum.
Within the framework of the conference, the head of the Secretariat of the Global Forum, Zaida Manata, will hold bilateral meetings with the heads of the Ministry of Finance and the Revenue Service.
