“Georgia’s one of the main and clear foreign policy priorities is integration into NATO,” - the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili said on the sidelines of the bloc’s 75th anniversary Summit taking place in Washington from Tuesday to Thursday.
"North Atlantic integration is one of the main lines of our foreign policy. Within the framework of these events [NATO Summit], I had the opportunity to communicate with my colleagues. A round table will be held today [on Wednesday] on behalf of the United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken, where partner and member states [of the alliance] will also participate. I would like to emphasize once again [that] Georgia has been consistently working together with its partners in this direction", - Darchiashvili noted.
He emphasized that the roundtable session, to be led by Blinken, was of an interactive format, where foreign ministers would be able to exchange opinions on various topics.
The top Georgian diplomat also noted that within the framework of the ongoing NATO Summit, he had an opportunity to hold meetings to discuss the topics regarding the relations between Georgia and the European Union.
