
Among the members of the delegation are the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Natia Turnava, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili, who is leading the delegation. The Georgian delegation was met by the Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh.
The events dedicated to Georgia’s National Day will be opened with an official ceremony at Expo 2020 in Dubai, where the Minister of Economy will deliver a speech.
After the official part, the visitors will have the opportunity to see the folk performances of the Sukhishvili Ballet and the ensemble "Basiani", as well as to get acquainted with various examples of Georgian culture. In addition, a concert of the Gori women's team is planned during the day, and as a final event in the evening, a gala concert of the Sukhishvilebi and the Basiani will be held at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheater.
Today, the Georgian delegation will visit the Georgian pavilion, which has been operating since the opening of the Expo in October and has already been visited by several thousand people.
During her visit to the United Arab Emirates, Natia Turnava will hold several meetings with local companies.
Expo 2020 Dubai is a unique opportunity for Georgia to brief millions of visitors from all over the world on the Georgian culture, history and, of course, the modern opportunities that the country offers in terms of world tourism, investment, doing business and many other interesting aspects.
The Georgian pavilion is represented in four thematic areas - traditional winemaking, Georgian script, dynamic and developing tourist destinations in the world and, of course, business environment, " – the statement issued by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development says.
