The Kutaisi International Airport services have become even more comfortable for both local and international travelers. As of today, the new parking lot for 700 cars is already in operation, and by the end of the month, the renewed lighting system of the area will be fully operational. Our goal is for Kutaisi Airport to fully meet the best international service requirements,'' - Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia said.
"We are working on a long-term action plan for the development of Kutaisi airport, according to which our airport will not only be one of the fastest growing in Europe, but will also be able to offer the best international services to passengers. Last year, about 1.7 million passengers used this airport, and we expect this number to be much higher in 2024. Thus, it is vitally important that passengers are welcomed at the Kutaisi International Airport with maximum comfort," Mariam Kvrivishvili noted.
According to the Deputy Minister, many more infrastructural projects are underway or will be implemented in the future at the airport.
