“North-western Georgia's Svaneti region and its highland town of Mestia has hosted the latest edition of the Gemo Fest local food and drink festival to promote gastronomy tourism,” - the National Tourism Administration of Georgia said.
Hosted over the weekend, the festival, organised by the GNTA, featured about 20 local chefs, catering establishments and family hotels.
The Administration said music spaces, an entrepreneurial market, games, competitions and workshops for children were organised within the event.
The festival aims to promote local cuisine in various regions of Georgia, support local entrepreneurs and family businesses, and increase the flow of domestic and international travellers to the regions.
