“External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 6 563.7 million in January-April 2024, 2.7% lower year-on-year. The value of export decreased by 10.1% reaching USD 1 763.8 million, while the import increased by 0.3% and amounted to $4 799.8 million,” - according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

The trade deficit equaled $3 036.0 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 46.3%.
