According to the preliminary data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in May 2023, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the growth of the real gross domestic product amounted to 7.0%, and the average figure for the first five months of 2023 was set at 7.5%.
According to the GEOSTAT, in May 2023, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, sectors such as construction, information and communication, trade, transport and warehousing, financial and insurance activities made a significant contribution to the economic growth, while a downward trend was observed in the processing industry and real estate sectors.
