According to Vakhtang Charaia, economist, head of the Tbilisi State University Center for Analysis and Forecast, Georgia's accession to the Single Euro Payments Area, SEPA, will establish closer cooperation between Georgia and the European Union, which will give more impetus to business.
"All this can establish faster relations between Georgia and the European Union, for example, between Georgian and the EU member state businesses. This may also affect transfer fees", - Charaia said.
Georgia will join the Single European Payments Area, SEPA, allowing customers make cashless euro payments – via credit transfer and direct debit – to anywhere in the European Union, as well as a number of non-EU countries.
