The report praised Georgia’s increased convictions, victim identification, and funding for shelters. It also noted a milestone, as courts awarded compensation to trafficking victims for the first time in years.

However, the report pointed to ongoing issues, including a drop in investigations, weak action on sex trafficking cases, and a lack of restitution orders. It also raised concerns about requiring victims to stay in Georgia until trial completion, which may deter cooperation from foreign victims.
