At the European Under-23 Judo Championships in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, Georgia’s national team successfully defended its European Champion title in the mixed team competition for the second consecutive year.

In a tense final match against France, the score was locked at 3:3 before Giorgi Terashvili (73 kg) took to the mat for the decisive bout. Terashvili secured victory with a spectacular ippon, clinching the gold medal for Georgia’s U23 team.

The Georgian lineup featured Nino Loladze (57 kg), Giorgi Terashvili (73 kg), Nino Tsiklauri (70 kg), Giorgi Jabniashvili (90 kg), Lizi Kvartshatsa (+70 kg), and Shalva Gureshidze (+90 kg).
