Georgia reports 229 coronavirus cases, 2 993 recoveries, 12 deaths

According to the information published on stopcov.ge, within intensive testing, 5,460 tests were conducted across the country within the last 24 hours, including 3,749 antigen tests and 1,711 PCR tests.

As a result of the testing, 229 newly confirmed cases of the virus were detected within the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic within the country is 1,646,545.

Within the last 24 hours, 2,993 people recovered from the virus, while the total number of people recovered increased to 1,621,396.

There have been 12 new deaths from coronavirus. A total of 16,720 people have died from the virus since the start of the pandemic.

The number of active cases of infection at this stage is 8 403.
