Testing revealed 17,484 newly confirmed cases of the virus. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country to date is 1,110,168.

Within the last 24 hours, 3,699 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of people recovered increased to 981,531. 

27 new cases of coronavirus death have been reported. A total of 14,840 people have died from the virus since the start of the pandemic.
