„In relation to the gross domestic product, Georgia is in the top five among the 76 countries of the world with the best indicators of direct foreign investments,“ - the "Enterprise Georgia" Agency reports.
The corresponding rating is published by fDi Intelligence, a member of the Financial Times group, one of the world's most influential business media holdings, in the Greenfield FDI Performance index.
Additionally, in this year's ranking, Georgia improved its position by 20 places. According to the index, in relation to GDP in 2022, Georgia has seen a record increase in the number of projects and quadrupled the current figure.
It should be noted that in 2022, Georgia attracted record high foreign direct investments, which amounted to 2 billion US dollars.
Greenfield FDI Performance index is led by Costa Rica, followed by North Macedonia, the United Arab Emirates and Serbia. In the index, Georgia is ahead of such countries as Portugal, Lithuania and Singapore.
