The American Association of Wine Economists (AAWE) has published the top 50 exporters of sparkling wine in the world. In this ranking, Georgia ranks 24th with the production of 1.68 million liters of sparkling wine, the value of which is $4.04 million, and the price of a liter of wine is $2.39.
Italy ranks first in the ranking with the production of 521.48 million liters of sparkling wine, the value of which is $2.283 million, and the price of a liter of wine is $4.38; France - with the production of 249.67 million liters of sparkling wine, the value of which is $4.887 million, and the price of a liter of wine is $19.58;
Spain closes the top three - with the production of 187 million liters of sparkling wine, the value of which is $527 million, and the price of a liter of wine is $2.81;
The top ten countries are: Latvia, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Australia, Belgium and Singapore.
