Georgia’s economy grew by 8% in the first seven months of 2025, the highest in the region and Europe, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced. The IMF recently raised its growth forecast for Georgia to 7.2%, which the PM expects to surpass.

Strong growth has boosted the national currency, the lari, which gained 15 tetri against the dollar, and foreign exchange reserves hit a record $1.3 billion from March to July, expected to exceed $1.5 billion by August.
