The first Honorary Consulate of Georgia in Luxembourg has officially opened, marking a significant step forward in bilateral relations between the two countries. The inauguration event brought together government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, and representatives of the Georgian diaspora.
The audience was addressed by Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, the Ambassador of Georgia, who formally introduced Peter Sodermans as the first Honorary Consul of Georgia in Luxembourg.
In his remarks, Ambassador Makharoblishvili highlighted the importance of the growing relationship between Georgia and Luxembourg, noting the potential for expanded cooperation in various fields.
Honorary Consul Peter Sodermans, a well-established Luxembourg businessman, emphasized the opportunities for deepening economic and business ties between the two nations. He also presented a number of upcoming projects aimed at fostering stronger partnerships.
Sodermans has made notable contributions to Luxembourg's international trade and currently heads his own consulting firm. He previously served as an advisor to the Prime Minister of Luxembourg for 12 years.
The event underscored a shared commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic collaboration between Georgia and Luxembourg.
