Georgia should actively seek partnerships wherever cooperation is possible, provided they are grounded in clear principles, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said.
He emphasized that Georgia aims to broaden its international relations in all directions to the greatest extent possible.
Commenting on relations with the United States, Kobakhidze said Georgia has clearly expressed its readiness to restore the strategic partnership, which was ended by the previous U.S. administration. He noted that Georgia is prepared to relaunch the partnership from a clean slate and with a clearly defined roadmap.
Addressing ties with the European Union, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Georgia’s openness to advancing the integration process. He stated that Georgia is ready to immediately sign an agreement to begin accession negotiations once the EU places the issue on the agenda, adding that no response has yet been received from the EU side.
