Georgia marks the Day of Family Purity and Strength on May 17. The icon of the All-Holy Mother of God of Atskuri traditionally brought to Tbilisi by the clergy from the Republic of Turkey on May 11, is now placed in the Svetitskhoveli Patriarchal Cathedral.
Today, after holding the divine service, the icon will be transferred to the Kashveti Church at 12:30, where a prayer service will be held. A prayer procession will be held in the streets with sacred icons to the Mother Church of Zion.
