Georgia Lowers National Flags to Honor Fallen on 17th Anniversary of 2008 War

On the 17th anniversary of the 2008 Russo-Georgian War, the national flag was flown at half-mast over the Presidential Palace of Georgia in solemn remembrance of those who lost their lives during the conflict.
As a mark of national mourning, flags have also been lowered across the country on government and administrative buildings, paying tribute to the memory of the fallen.
