,,Georgia is the only country that has free trade agreements with both Europe and China, which creates an opportunity for the economic activity in Georgia and makes our country attractive," - the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili said.
,,Today, Georgia is becoming interesting for China and the West in a new way. We know what is happening in the north and how many disruptions and problems are caused by the war and the sanctions. Also, we have seen how the latest developments in the same Middle East are diverting major flows through the Suez Canal. In terms of transportation, within the post-Covid-19 period, supply chains and traffic flows seem to have been repaired and restored, but we have seen the new challenges emerge around the world. So, Georgia, as a critical, most important element of this corridor and one of the leading countries developing this corridor, is interesting for China as well," Davitashvili said.
