As part of the UN World Tourism Day event, the National Tourism Administration of Georgia is hosting the groups of influential foreign media.
According to the agency, journalists, cameramen and photographers of Euronews Travel, Forbes, Bloomberg Travel, Conde Nast, Le Monde, Prestige Communication and Arab News have arrived in Georgia. The leading world media representatives cover the World Tourism Day event and prepare stories, articles and blogs about the tourism potential of Georgia, which will be read by millions of viewers, readers and online users all over the world.
"To celebrate the World Tourism Day on September 27, the capital has already been visited by representatives of the international media, such as: Forbes, Bloomberg, Euronews, Conde Nast Traveler. They will cover the September 27 event as well, visit important touristic places of Georgia and tell the whole world about the potential of the Georgian tourism, the planned event and of course, the role of peace in the tourism sector", - the head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, Maia Omiadze, said.
The representatives of the international media will visit Tsinandali, Telavi, Mukhrani, wine cellars, the wine museum, and a tasting of the Georgian wine and dishes will be held for foreign journalists.
Georgia, under the auspices of the United Nations Tourism Organization, is hosting the World Tourism Day event for the first time. This year's theme is Tourism and Peace.
As part of the large-scale event, Georgia will be visited by high-ranking guests from many countries, ministers of tourism, heads of departments and professionals in the field of tourism.
