Georgia’s President, Mikheil Kavelashvili, welcomed Armenia’s President, Vahagn Khachaturyan, to Tbilisi, noting this was their second meeting of the year and thanking him for the warm hospitality shown during Kavelashvili’s visit to Yerevan in April.
President Kavelashvili highlighted the 2024 strategic partnership agreement, stressing that 2025 has been especially productive in strengthening bilateral ties and showcasing the “effectiveness and scale” of cooperation.
He praised the centuries-old friendship between Georgia and Armenia, rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and commitment to sovereignty and cultural identity. Their cooperation, he noted, is “multifaceted and exemplary,” spanning both bilateral and multilateral platforms.
The Georgian President also expressed gratitude for Armenia’s steadfast support for Georgia’s territorial integrity.
Amid global tensions, Kavelashvili underlined the growing importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus, adding that both countries continue to deepen political, economic, and people-to-people ties.
