Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, stated in Turkmenistan that the international forum marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality offers a valuable platform for meetings with leaders of neighboring and regional states with whom Georgia enjoys close bilateral ties.
Botchorishvili noted that Georgia’s Prime Minister has already met with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan. She emphasized the importance of this partnership, describing Azerbaijan as a vital ally for Georgia and highlighting the need for continuous high-level political dialogue to advance key issues on the countries’ political and economic agenda.
She added that the forum also provides opportunities for talks with leaders from Central Asian nations—engagements she said are essential for strengthening Georgia’s transit role and supporting the country’s economic development. According to Botchorishvili, these meetings will primarily focus on trade, economic cooperation, and other topics central to Georgia’s ongoing growth.
