Levan Davitashvili, a candidate for the position of the Minister of Economy reported to Parliament covering several topics. “Last year, economic growth was 7%. According to our prediction, economic growth in 2024 and subsequent years will still be at a high mark and will exceed $ 23,100 per capita by 2024," - Davitashvili introduced the main economic indicators to the MPs.
He added that the inflation level would remain below the target rate. As for the unemployment rate, he noted that it decreased to a historic minimum.
The candidate for the position of Minister of Economy underlined that the main focus of the government’s economic policy will be to reduce poverty, promote employment and increase the population’s welfare.
