
"According to the data of the last two months, January-February, Georgia has seen a 17% increase in the export of agricultural products," – said the Minister of Environment and Agriculture Otar Shamugia at a meeting with media representatives after the government session.
"We have achieved a double-digit economic growth for two years. We ended last year with an 11% increase in the export of agro-food products, and in the last two months, namely, January-February, we have seen a 17% increase in export figures. As of nine months, we maintain the dynamics of growth (14% increase) in the release of products in rural, forestry and fish farms. All measures are taken by the government to promote agricultural products to the maximum extent in the world market, to help our farmers produce more quality products, and the measures supporting these processes will further continue," - Otar Shamugia said.
