In a strong statement shared on social media, Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, declared that all decisions regarding Georgia and its people are made exclusively within the country.
“Decisions about our homeland and the Georgian people are made only in Georgia – we have achieved this, and no blackmail, no immoral interference, and no emissaries can change that,” Mdinaradze wrote.
He emphasized that Georgia has reached an unprecedented level of independence, describing it as the country’s greatest achievement to date.
“The history of our homeland is one of constant struggle for independence – it is part of our national identity. Homeland, language, and faith – this triad has become the foundation of our nation’s values,” he said.
Mdinaradze went on to highlight Georgia’s progress across various sectors, including economic growth, anti-corruption efforts, human rights, poverty reduction, infrastructure, sports, and steps toward European integration.
“But above all,” he noted, “our greatest accomplishment is the level of independence we have achieved – Georgia has never been as independent as it is today.”
He also criticized external actors who, he claimed, seek to influence the country for their own interests. “They have missed their chance. Georgia will never be enslaved,” he wrote.
Reaffirming national sovereignty, he concluded: “The Georgian spirit guarantees that we will continue to strengthen our independence. May 26 is our day – I am proud to be Georgian and proud of Georgia’s independence!''
