"Georgia has made huge strides forward on its European path, as EU Council confirmed today," European Commission Executive Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis tweeted.
"We recognise and fully support its EU aspirations. And we are ready to guide Georgia’s reform agenda to bring the country closer still to the EU family," the European Commission Vice-President said.
To be informed, the European Council has decided to recognize Georgia's European perspective and is ready to grant candidate status as soon as the set priorities are addressed.
