Amid Georgia’s status as an EU candidate country, the government’s primary medium-term goal is to ensure the nation’s economic readiness for EU membership, according to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s annual report, presented to parliament today.
The report highlights that Georgia has developed its Economic Reform Programme (ERP) for 2025–2027, marking the second time the country has prepared such a plan in line with the European Commission’s methodology for candidate countries.
The programme was formally approved by Government Decree No. 31 on 15 January 2025 and has been submitted to the European Commission as part of the ongoing EU integration process.
