
“The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, gave a presentation to the heads of the leading travel agencies and major airlines in Saudi Arabia "Flynas", "Flydeal" and "Saudia Airlaine" in order to raise the awareness of Georgia”, - the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia reports.
The event, which aimed to attract more high-spending tourists to Georgia, was held in the city of Jeddah and was attended by the Georgian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Vakhtang Jaoshvili and the First Deputy Head of the Georgian Tourism Administration Tamar Koriauli.
"Saudi Arabia is one of the most important target countries for us. We had a very successful event that served to raise awareness and attract more travelers from Saudi Arabia during the summer tourist season. We are very pleased that representatives of the most powerful travel companies in Saudi Arabia and all three national airlines of Saudi Arabia attended our event. It was noted that Georgia is the most popular tourist destination in Saudi Arabia this year due to its safe environment. The current summer tourist season will be a season of exceptionally high demand and we will see a lot of high-spending Saudi Arabians tourists coming to Georgia," - Mariam Kvirishvili said.
The representatives of the Georgian delegation held a presentation on the tourism potential and briefed the Saudi Arabian companies on the Georgian tourism products, as well as the dynamics of tourism recovery.
