
The Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili expects that the Georgian Prime Minister and Azerbaijani President today will discuss how Georgia can contribute more to regional peace and security.
When asked about the Prague meeting on 6 October claiming that South Caucasus nations should preserve peace and stability in the region, the Foreign Minister stressed that “for Georgia, peace and stability in the region are of special importance.”
“Georgia has consistently stated its desire to make a substantial contribution to the region’s security and peace,” - he said.
Earlier today, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Georgia. PM Gharibashvili and President Aliyev will hold joint press point at 2 pm.
