
According to GeoStat, Georgia’s business sector turnover rose 11.6% in 2024 to GEL 228.5 billion, with output up 16.3% at GEL 90.5 billion. Large enterprises made up 67.7% of turnover, while medium and small businesses contributed 15.8% and 16.5%, respectively.
Total purchases of goods and services increased 5.4% to GEL 114.9 billion. Employment grew 5.2% to 866,200 workers, with women comprising 43.2%. Average monthly wages rose to GEL 2,024.4, varying by business size.
The trade sector led turnover with 34.4%, followed by arts and recreation at 33.5%. Manufacturing dominated output at 18.9%, with trade and construction close behind. Most workers were employed in trade (29%), manufacturing (11.3%), and health services (9.3%).
