In his speech at the 10th Georgia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov said that improving relations with Georgia is a top priority for Azerbaijan’s foreign policy.
Asadov explained that the strategic partnership between the two countries covers many important areas and is supported by about 140 agreements. He noted that there is strong political dialogue between them, with mutual support in international organizations and during difficult times.
He also emphasized the importance of supporting territorial integrity and the ongoing significance of their economic and trade relations. While trade between the two countries slightly decreased last year, Asadov expressed hope that this would be temporary and called for efforts to boost economic potential moving forward.
