Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran open new transit route

“Iran, Azerbaijan, and Georgia have opened a transit route connecting the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea in test mode,“ - the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, reported.
"A convoy of vehicles from three countries will depart from Bilasuvar (Iran) to Azerbaijan, then to Georgian ports, then to Bulgaria, and then by land to other Eastern European countries. The route started from the south of Iran. The pilot cargo arrived in Azerbaijan yesterday," the statement reads.
To be informed, the launch of the corridor is aimed at developing economic and transport links. After the completion of the shipment of goods in test mode, a tripartite meeting on the details of this issue will be held, and an agreement will be reached between the parties on the facilitation of transportation.
