Georgia Assumes Energy Community Presidency at Vienna Ceremony

Georgia has officially assumed the rotating presidency of the Energy Community in a ceremony in Vienna, the Economy Ministry announced Thursday.
The event, attended by Energy Community Director Artur Lorkowski and diplomatic representatives, featured a speech by Deputy Economy Minister Genadi Arveladze, who emphasized Georgia’s commitment to energy security, regional cooperation, and green energy transition.
Arveladze highlighted key priorities, including energy efficiency, EU regulatory alignment, and projects like the Black Sea submarine cable. Lorkowski praised Georgia’s energy reforms and leadership within the Community. Georgia joined the organisation in 2017.
