Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said he attended the 66th General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) on November 23–24 in Sofia, Bulgaria, where Georgia officially took over the organization’s chairmanship from Bulgaria for the next six months.
He said Georgia presented its key priorities for this period, including improving connectivity, strengthening economic cooperation, and boosting parliamentary diplomacy.
“We outlined our priorities for the chairmanship—connectivity, economic cooperation, and stronger parliamentary diplomacy. The next BSEC PA session will take place in the summer of 2026. We aim to use Georgia’s chairmanship to further promote the Black Sea and the Middle Corridor as a bridge linking Europe and Asia. I congratulate everyone on Georgia assuming the BSEC PA chair for the next six months,” Papuashvili said.
