The Georgian government announced the appointment of new ambassadors to Turkey, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Cuba, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Archil Kalandia has been appointed as Georgia’s Ambassador to Turkey. He has served in various roles within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2005.
Shota Getsadze will represent Georgia as Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. He brings extensive experience from his work in the court system and has also served as a refugee and asylum specialist for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD). Additionally, Getsadze is an election law expert for the Council of Europe and became a member of the International Association of Refugee Court Judges in 2015.
Grigol Baramidze has been appointed as Georgia’s Ambassador to Cuba. He previously served as Georgia’s Ambassador to Armenia.
