
Georgia has appointed new ambassadors to Spain, Slovenia, and the Holy See, as announced by the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
Aleksandre Chkuaseli has been named Georgia’s Ambassador to Spain. Chkuaseli has had a distinguished career in diplomacy since 2003, holding various positions within the Foreign Ministry and Georgian diplomatic missions. Notably, he served as the Consul General of Georgia in Barcelona and has been awarded the diplomatic rank of Ambassador.
Konstantine Surguladze will serve as Georgia’s Ambassador to Slovenia. Having been employed by the Foreign Ministry since 1997, Surguladze has held multiple ambassadorial positions, including representing Georgia in Italy and the Netherlands. He also served as the State Minister for Diaspora Affairs and has earned the diplomatic rank of Ambassador.
David Mekvabishvili has been appointed as Georgia’s Ambassador to the Holy See. Mekvabishvili has held several key roles, including positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Rhodes and Malta in Georgia. He was also the Director of the Cardinal Pio Lagi Foundation and has been awarded the Knight of the Order of Merit of the Order of Malta.
