
Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Givi Mikanadze, held a meeting with Rolande Pryce, the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus, to discuss ongoing collaboration and opportunities for expanded partnership.
According to the Ministry, the talks centered on current joint projects and the potential for further cooperation in the education sector. Minister Mikanadze emphasized the long-standing and effective relationship between Georgia and the World Bank, noting the substantial impact of large-scale initiatives on the country's educational development.
The meeting reviewed the progress of two key programs: the Georgia Human Capital Program and the Innovation, Inclusion, and Quality Project (Georgia I2Q). Special focus was placed on the newly developed Higher Education Concept, spearheaded by the Government Commission on Higher Education. This initiative aims to better align academic outcomes with labor market needs, enhancing the relevance and quality of higher education in Georgia.
